MODA envisions a world that celebrates design as a creative force that inspires change, transforms lives, and makes the world a better place. A rebrand was realized to better capture this vision and represent them as, “the only museum in the Southeast dedicated exclusively to the study and celebration of design.”To balance this more “traditional” aesthetic, I paired the custom typeface with the sans-serif typeface “Sequel Sans” for longer or smaller copy, ensuring readability and versatility. Additionally, I developed a vibrant color palette comprising six primary and six secondary colors, each representing a specific type of meat.
As a museum that is located in the heart of Midtown Arts District standing across from the renowned High Museum of Art, they needed an identity that speaks to customers through their branding and design first before the exhibitions, education, and programs that they provide. Understanding that a museum dedicated to design should demonstrate that in their own branding was crucial when approaching the rebrand and in gaining customers’ trust.
